I'm Helen Gaynor, a REALTOR® with RLAH Real Estate | @properties. I help homeowners in Upper Marlboro decide whether their next move makes financial and lifestyle sense, and then I help them make it.

I grew up in Jamaica as a pastor's daughter. Every Sabbath, my father visited the homes of the people in his congregation, and I spent my childhood in their living rooms, watching him make people feel safe before a single word of business was spoken. I didn't choose real estate. It chose me, because I already knew how to show up for people in their homes.

I still work that way. I show up for my clients like I have a toothbrush in their home. Before we talk about price, I ask what you're trying to accomplish, because people don't call me about a house. They call because something in their life is changing.

I don't measure success by the number of homes I sell. I measure it by how much wealth, opportunity, and peace of mind I help my clients create through real estate. Every recommendation I make runs through one question: does this move strengthen or weaken your financial future? Sometimes the honest answer is to wait, to keep a low mortgage rate, or to rent the house instead of selling it.

I've spent over 20 years in this business helping homeowners across Prince George's County and D.C. I hold the CNE (Certified Negotiation Expert), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), and GRI (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute) designations, and I'm licensed in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
